Alexa Rimmer


Alexa Rimmer is an associate at the Orlando office of Landau & Associates, P.A. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Rimmer was an Assistant Public Defender for the Ninth Judicial Circuit in Orange County, Florida. In her role as Assistant Public Defender, Ms. Rimmer maintained a full caseload of cases ranging from criminal traffic, misdemeanors, and domestic violence. She represented her clients at all stages, from their initial phase until their resolution, including several trials that returned verdicts of not guilty or judgment of acquittal. Ms. Rimmer gained valuable experience working closely with clients, court staff, Judges and fellow attorneys in the Orlando area in her time as an Assistant Public Defender.

Ms. Rimmer received both her Bachelor of Science in Political Science and International Affairs as well as her Juris Doctor degree from Florida State University. While in law school, Ms. Rimmer received the Book Award in Criminal Law and was Activities Chair of the Public Interest Law Students Association. She was also a member of the Women’s Law Symposium and the Student Bar Association. During her final summer of law school, Ms. Rimmer was a Certified Legal Intern at the Office of the Public Defender for the 2nd Circuit, in Gadsden County, Florida. She maintained her own case load and gained experience handling criminal traffic, misdemeanor and juvenile cases at all stages.
