Mayra Puerta


Mayra Puerta is an Associate at the Sunrise office of Landau and Associates, P.A. Mayra was born in Colombia and received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Cum Laude, from Universidad Tecnologica de Bolivar in 2005.  She earned her Juris Doctorate at Western Michigan University – Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where she graduated Cum Laude in 2018.


During law school, her academic achievements included placement on the Honor Roll, Dean’s List, Mock Trial Competition Winner, member of Phi Delta Phi, and she received the highest grade in three courses. Mayra was also a recipient of the Distinguished Student Award, and had the privilege to work as judicial intern at the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.


Prior to joining Landau and Associates, P.A., Ms. Puerta focused her practice in Workers’ Compensation representing injured workers. Currently, Ms. Puerta concentrates her practice in Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Litigation.
